OLYMPIA - Due to inclement weather, today's special meeting of the Washington State Redistricting Commission has been postponed until 1 p.m. Thursday. The special meeting will be held at commission offices, 505 East Union Avenue, Suite 350, Olympia, Wash. The agenda is as follows:

SPECIAL MEETING AGENDA
1. Call to order
2. Review of minutes - November 19, 2001 Special Meeting
3. Acknowledgement of third party plans received by the Commission since November 19, 2001
4. Discussion of population standards and political data
5. Discussion of redistricting resolution draft (excluding district descriptions)
6. Discussion of draft plan revisions

The Washington State Redistricting Commission is a bipartisan agency of five commissioners established to redraw legislative and congressional district boundaries every 10 years. When redistricting is completed, the commission will close its doors. In 2011, a new commission will be appointed to ensure that Washington residents are fairly represented in Congress and the Washington.
