OLYMPIA The Redistricting Commission will hold a special meeting,
Monday, Nov. 19 in Olympia. Commissioners will share the latest revisions
to their draft plans, acknowledge newly received third party plans, discuss
data standards and draft resolution language, and consider a follow up
meeting date.

Mondays meeting
is the second meeting convened for the purpose of negotiating a single
proposal that delineates Washingtons 2002 political boundaries.
In order to meet a Dec. 15 deadline, the date the plan is due to the Legislature,
commissioners must work diligently to meld four partisan plans into one
bipartisan plan that adheres to strict legal criteria. Three of the four
voting members must approve a final proposal before its sent to
the Legislature.
