A note to editors and reporters: The 2001-2002 Redistricting Commission will hold a regular meeting, Thursday, Sept. 6 where they will review third-party plans that propose changes for Washington’s 2002 political boundaries.

In addition, the commissioners will discuss authorized expenditures, operation and administrative issues, and a schedule for October public hearings. Presently, each of the four voting commissioners is drafting a plan for 2002 legislative and congressional districts. Those draft plans will be unveiled Sept. 24 at a special meeting in Olympia.
